With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Michael J. Cooney of Villa Hills, Kentucky, who passed away on April 30, 2026 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his grandson Shawn B. Bailey; and his siblings, Jack E. Rogers, Charlotte D. Rogers and Ronald P. Cooney. He is survived by: his wife Barbara A. Cooney; his children, Barbara A. Bailey (Douglas), Michael J. Cooney (Amanda), Mary Kathleen Nelms (Roger), Todd S. Cooney (Lisa) and Brian P. J. Cooney (Elana); and his sister Sylvia A. Wagner. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (2470 Lorraine Ct, Crescent Springs, KY 41017). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 at the St. John Cemetery (1 Ridge Rd, Fort Mitchell, KY 41011).
