He is survived by: his children, Andre Taylor, Jeffery Banks, Travis Baymon, Fred Baymon, Kamala Banks, Rosalind Beverley, Teresa Clay and Ericka Clay; his stepfather Amos Reed; his stepchildren, Victor Daniels, Lorraine Daniels and Mary Walker; his sisters, Bobbie Taylor Brooks and Edith Felton Rush; and his aunt Beatrice Foster. He is also survived by twenty-nine grandchildren; eight step grandchildren; and a host of great and great great grandchildren.
