He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivy Monroe and Theo Mitchell; his siblings, Marcelite Mitchell, Ruby Hufstetler, Aubrey Mitchell and Delmer "Dick" Mitchell; and his son Rusty Mitchell.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Ray Mitchell; his children, Ann Taylor (Donnie), Johnny Mitchell (Michael), Dee Dee Carrico (David) and Sammi Kyser (Roy); his grandchildren, Danny, Shelly, Megan, Hannah, Tyler, Ivy, Curtis and Holly; and his daughter-in-law Kathy. He is also survived by extended family & friends.
