He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Evelyn Chapman (Reesor) and James "Bud" Benham; his stepmother Ella Grace Benham; his daughter Jennifer Marie Johnson (Benham); his brother Stevie Joe Benham; and his great grandchild Montgomery Wade Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Kimberly Benham; his sons, James Cody Benham (Kayla), Cory Hammons (Liz) and Chris Hammons; and his grandchildren, Thomas Michael Moore, Mark Anthony Johnson (Samantha), Jaxton David Hammons, Jade and Kerah Haire. He is also survived by numerous extended family members and a few special friends.
