He is survived by: his siblings, Marie Burke (Jim), Lee Hays, Alan Hays (Mary), David Hays and Gerry Gilbert; his children, Doug (Beth), Will (Denise) and Denise (Darryl); his grandchildren, Rachel (Nick), Megan (Zac), Adam (Andrea), Evan (Rachel), Emily, Nicholas, Nathan (Callie), Jacob and Wilson; and his great grandchildren, Jude, Lois, Anna, Lily, Franklin, James, Eliza, John, Canaan and Colton.
