We are sad to announce that, on June 15, 2022, at the age of 88, Mary Ellen Ray (Vine Grove, Kentucky), born in Upton, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Oneda McCorkle and Bill McCorkle; her husband Virgil Ray; her children, Billy Ray, Rosemary Ray Kincheloe and Patty Ray Best; and her brothers, Howard, Madison (Mac) and Wayne McCorkle.
She is survived by: her granddaughter Mia; her children, Sharon Ray Wren of Elizabethtown, Regina Ray Ryan (Mike) and Mark Ray of Rineyville; her children-in-law, Bobby Best (Lola), Nicky Kincheloe and Jan Ray; and her stepgrandchildren, Jeff Best (Sara Jo), Lisa Luken (Gerrick), J. R. Best, Zachary Kincheloe (Amanda), Jacob Kincheloe, Mia Embry (Danny), Samantha Wood (Patrick), Blake Ryan (Danielle), Brad Ray (Carol), Patrick Ray (Elise), Kaleigh Ray (Haril Rains), Lesley Ray and Laura Ray. She is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren.
The family requests any donations be made in Mrs. Ray's name to St. Brigid Catholic Church, 314 E. Main St., Vine Grove, KY 40175.
