He is survived by: his wife Patsy Eversole; his daughters, Dee Amburgey (Jerry) and Kimberly Hillman (Warren); his grandchildren, Lauryn Amburgey (Jalen) and Braxton Amburgey; and his brother-in-law Marion Frazier.
