She was predeceased by : her parents, Isaac Bowman and Cleo Abney Bowman; her husband Joseph M. Sparks; her granddaughter Debra Carpenter; her siblings, Ames Bowman, Jack Bowman, Myrtle Rogers, Ollie Carter, Wetona Reams and Etta Brockman; and her sons-in-law, James Carpenter, William Guinn and William C. Watkins.

She is survived by : her children, Barbara Lipinski (Dave) of Brodhead, Patricia Carpenter of Orlando, Judy Guinn of Paint Lick, Bonnie Watkins of Waco and Dwain Sparks (Samantha) of Owensboro. She is also survived by her 22 grandchildren as well as numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nephews, and nieces.

“To the family of Stella, GranGran, Sparks. This note is particularly for Judy, Bonnie, Angela, Connor, Nathan, and Emily. Donald and I are saddened to hear about the passing of your most precious GranGran and Momma. She welcomed us into her home and fed us many times. She was a wonderful lady and a very good cook.
