He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Garr Gooding and Lucy McDaniels Gooding; his son David Wayne Gooding; his daughter-in-law Angie Cropper Gooding; his brother Charles "Heavy" Gooding; and his wife Faye.
He is survived by: his children, Rhonda Gooding Strunk (Steve) and Cristy Ann Staggs; his grandchildren, Ryan Lamkin (Meredith), Christopher Gooding (Haley), James Gooding (Kristi), Joshua Gooding (Felisha), Aaron Lamkin, MacKenzie Staggs and Katlyn Strunk (Allen); and his brother Purnie Gooding (Junie). He is also survived by his 13 great grandchildren, many extended family members and friends.
