He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Spurlock and Wilma Jean Hobbs Hively. He is survived by: his daughters, Heather Hobbs (Denver Simpson) and Amber Lawson (Zachariah Burgan); his grandchildren, Payton Hobbs, Hunter Blanton and Hudson Simpson; and his siblings, Cheryl Hobbs Varney, Oceana Hobbs, Frank Laws (Brandy), Delores Hively, Beverly Haynes and Mark Hively (Patience). He is also survived by 50 nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Rest Haven Cemetery (3000 State Hwy 840, Keith, KY 40806). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Mount Pleasant Funeral Home (122 N Cumberland Ave, Harlan, KY 40831).
