With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert Gene Tackett of Walton, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 28, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Shelby Tackett and Ida Cromer Tackett; his daughters, Deborah "Debbie" Jean Mulford (Dewey) and Betty Lynn Tackett; and his siblings, Carl Tackett (Evelyn), Orville Tackett (Alice), Lloyd Ray Tackett (Kay), Mae Doan (Walter), Alma Beach (Albert), Mary Overbay (Lawrence), Edna Hiles (Eugene), Christine Tackett and Kathleen Courtney (Richard).
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ann Vest Tackett; his daughter Lois Tackett Lykins (Mark); his stepdaughters, Kay Stevens-Walterman (Richard) and Michele Roberts (Terry); and his sons, William "Bill" Stevens and Bruce Stephens (Symino). He is also survived by nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
