He was predeceased by: his parents, John B. Spears and Victoria Chafins Spears; his wife Wilma J Spears; his son Tommie Spears; and his siblings, Bill, Earl, David, Gene, Pauline and Irene.
He is survived by: his children, John Spears (Pam) of Columbus, Gregory Spears (Amy) of Warfield and Tabitha Hall (Brenda) of Lovely. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren as well as a host of nieces and nephews and family and friends.
