He was predeceased by: his former wife Elizabeth Ann Simpson Wiggs; his parents, William B. Wiggs and Nellie Goldey Wiggs; his son-in-law Charles Conliff; and his siblings, Jane Hughes, Lena Dempsey and Stanley Wiggs.

He is survived by: his wife Nancy Taylor Wiggs; his daughters, Jane Lynn Brown (Brent) and Dawsinda Conliff; his brother Jimmy Wiggs (Connie); his grandchildren, Matthew Edward Brown (Olivia), Elizabeth Nicole Deters (John) and Christopher Dawson Brown (Leah); and his great grandchildren, Jaggar, Josey, Grady, Isabelle and Isaac.
