She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Hayden and Annie Lucille Gentry Veach; her husband Delmas R. Proffitt; and her sister Frances. She is survived by: her sons, David (Dana) of Nashville and John (Ashley) of Louisville; her grandchildren, Allyn Hodgins (Payton) of Richmond, VA, Matthew Proffitt of Mt. Washington, Brad Proffitt of Louisville and Katie Proffitt of Mt. Washington; her son Matt; her siblings, Louise Veach of Fountain Run, Sue Emberton (Mack Ed) of Glasgow, Kaye Taylor of Tompkinsville and Michael Veach (Linda) of Bowling Green; Laura Proffitt-Rideout (Jonathan) of Mt. Washington. She is also survived by in-laws, nieces and nephews.
