He was predeceased by: his parents, Aubrey Steen and Alma Steen (Wildridge); his sisters, Annalee Buse' and Karen Jones; his siblings-in-law, Keith Buse', Stan Jones, Kenneth Newton, Herbert Newton, Leon Petty, Richard Power, Wilma Power, Betty Newton and Ernestine Newton; and his nephews, David Petty and Gary Newton.
He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Faye Newton; his sister-in-law Harriett Petty (Sue Newton); and his sibling's children, Larissa Porter (Dennis), Shaya Smith (Jared), Travor Jones (Stephanie), Dane Buse', Darin Buse', Mia Pugh (Chris), Mike Power (Leslie), Anita Abernathy (Steve), Deanna Lowery (Jim), Sheryl Yates, Nancy Boehm, Randall Newton, Kenneth Newton (Karen) and Mark Petty (Kathy).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Goodwin Sievers Funeral Home (2020 State St, Washington, IN 47501). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Bethany Cemetery.
