She was predeceased by: her parents, Preston Cooper and Charlie Mae Cooper; and her siblings, Preston Ray Cooper, Charles Harry Cooper, Hugh Douglas Cooper, Edwin Stanley Cooper and Edna Mae Messinger.

She is survived by: her son Douglas McLaughlin; her grandchildren, Sebastian Navakuku and Elizabeth Stuckey; and her sister Frances Cooper Hurst. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
