He is survived by: his children, Dennis Lee "DJ" Denny, Jr. (Jessica) of Waynesburg, Lori Denny of Waynesburg and Adrienne Rutherford (Miles) of Waynesburg; his grandchildren, Haley Holt, Mallory Denny, Makinna Denny, Katlin Rutherford, Alexis Tabor (Christian), Will Denny (Diamond), Rayden Denny, Skylar Rutherford, Bella Denny and Payton Rutherford; his great grandchildren, Arianna Denny, Natalie Holt, Marissa Holt, Barrett Tabor, Marlee Denny and Elowen Denny; his siblings, Johnny Denny of Waynesburg, Donnie Denny of Lincoln County, Curtis Denny (Lacey) of Waynesburg, Jeffrey Denny (Beverly) of Nancy, Kentucky, Margie Denny of Pulaski County, Peggy Ellison of Pulaski County, Karen Denny of Pulaski County, Cheryl Caudill (Junior) of Waynesburg and Rose Rayborn of Waynesburg; and his brother-in-law Ralph Padgett of Waynesburg. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, and other extended family members and friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 15th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Friend Funeral Home (545 KY-328, Waynesburg, KY 40489). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 15th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, January 15th 2026 at the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery (655 Glade Fork Rd, Crab Orchard, KY 40419).
