Violet Leanor Cornett Bowman Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of Violet Leanor Cornett Bowman of Waynesburg, Kentucky. Violet, born on February 24, 1938, passed away on September 2, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Cornett and Maggie McKnight Cornett; her son-in-law Terry "Sparky" Sparkmon; and her siblings, Wendell Cornett, Earnest Cornett, Herman Stanley Cornett, Sr., Charity Cornett, Ann Cornett, Francis Godbey and Betty Foister.
She is survived by: her daughters, Brenda Sparkmon of Kings Mountain and Barbara Seward of Columbus, Georgia; her grandchildren, Craig Seward, Hagen Seward, Violet Seward and Steven Rohland; her great grandchildren, Angel Price (Dylan), Craig "Bub" Seward, Mason Seward, Gabriel Seward, Korrine Seward, Avalee Seward, Karma Falings, Leela Cook, Kymani Cook, Saleel Collier, Ariea Hutchinson and Kyndel Hutchinson; her great great grandchild Ottlie Violet Price; and her brother Chester Cornett (Barbara) of Stanford, Kentucky. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Friend Funeral Home (545 KY-328, Waynesburg, KY 40489). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
