He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Hurt and Virgie Johnson Hurt; his son Raymond (Mullins); and his siblings, Douglas Hurt, Norma Hamilton and Ladene Hurt Little.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Ellen Johnson Hurt; his children, Timothy Johnson (Karen), Michelle Holland (Jeremy) of Louisville, KY, Crystal Little (Michael) and Kesh Marcum (Bryce) of Richmond, KY; his siblings, Terry Hurt and Debra Hurt of Knot County, KY; and his grandchildren, Sherae, Charlotte, Harley, Marley, Stephanie of Cory, EJ, James, Kash and Aspyn. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
