He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Lenville Holbrook (Mavis Ball Holbrook) and Mavis Ball Holbrook; his wife Wanda Jent Holbrook; his children, Rebecca Howell (Trevor Howell) and Chris Holbrook (Sheena Bolyard); and his grandson Cole Nickell.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home (367 Main St, West Liberty, KY 41472). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
