Burdis Mae Cantrell Spradlin Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Burdis Mae Cantrell Spradlin of West Van Lear, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 21, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mance Cantrell and Ella Napier Cantrell; her husband Robert "Bud" Spradlin; her son Larry Kenneth Spradlin; her granddaughter Stacy Renee Spradlin; and her siblings, Cecil, Mitchell, Mance, Jr., Walter, Hershelle, Estill, Virgil, Dember Cantrell, Mary Alice Cantrell Adams and Betty Ruth Hale.
She is survived by: her children, Robert Spradlin, Jr. (Teresa) of Stambaugh, Kentucky and Ginger Arnold (Michael); and her grandchildren, Shawn Robert Spradlin, Rachelle Lynn Osborne, Oliver Lawrence Spradlin, Andrew Spradlin (Andy), Deborah Elizabeth Weatherford and Tyler Spradlin. She is also survived by ten great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home (807 S Mayo Trail, Paintsville, KY 41240). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel (807 S Mayo Trail, Paintsville, KY 41240). A burial will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 at the Johnson County Memorial Cemetery.
