He was predeceased by: his parents, George Garlinger and Doris McNalley Garlinger; his son Gregory Garlinger; and his grandsons, Grayson Bogard and Dante Renfro.
He is survived by: his wife Amanda Hayes Garlinger of Westview; his children, Casey Hinton of Hardinsburg, Cody Garlinger (Shawnee) of Hardinsburg, Pixie Garlinger of Westview, Rebecca Martinez of Westview, Gabriella Martinez of Westview, Bryanna Martinez of Westview and Gabrielle Renfro (Ray) of Millwood; and his brothers, Edward "Bubby" Garlinger of Westview and Charles "Ninny" Garlinger of Custer, KY.. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
