He is survived by: his wife Madonna Bates of Colson, Kentucky.; his daughters, Stephanie Bates Cornett of Isom and Kristi Bates of Colson, Kentucky.; his sisters, Annette Isaac of Colson, Kentucky. and Lena Parson of Colson, Kentucky.; his grandchildren, Hali Cornett and Dawson Cornett; and his brothers, Curt Bates, Elmer Bates and Rutherford Bates.
