He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilson Adams and Chloe Banks Adams; his son Stephen Dwain Adams; and his grandson Scott Jordon Shephard. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis; his daughters, Beverly Adams of Rockford, MI and Melisa Watts (Rob) of Blackey; his grandchildren, Sarah Lockwood (Mike) of Grand Rapids, MI and Ethan Kisor of Blackey; and his siblings, Ermine, Vernon, Melvin, Mattie Bryant, Miona Sumner and Audrey Hogg.
In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to the Letcher Independent Baptist Church Missionary Fund.
