He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Willis King and Stella Mae Ball King; his wife Katherine Smith King; and his siblings, Donald King, Joyce Watson and Ruth Powell.
He is survived by: his children, James King (Wendy) of Indianapolis and Rochelle King Coghill (Steve) of Fishers, Indiana; his grandchildren, Serica, Jordan and Cullen King; his great grandchildren, Lucy, Hudson, Katherine and Emma; and his siblings, Borden Edward King, Bobby Allen King, William Arthur King and Elizabeth Elaine Byrd.
