He is survived by : his wife Wilma Lanier of Wickliffe, KY; his children, Steven Lanier of West Paducah, KY and Lori Lanier of Paducah, KY; his grandsons, Sam Lanier of Palm Beach, FL and Tim Lanier (Jennifer) of Nashville, TN; and his sisters, Lynn Renfrow of LaCenter, KY, Rosie Gough (Freddie) of Mayfield, KY and Kathy Cherry (Lynn) of Knoxville, TN..

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Sunday, April 21st 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Morrow Funeral Chapel (376 W Kentucky Dr, La Center, KY 42056). A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 21st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, April 21st 2024 at the Woodville Cemetery.
