He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Messer and Mary Messer; and his siblings, Earnest Messer and Thelma Messer. He is survived by: his wife Jimmie Messer of Williamsburg, KY; his children, Michael Messer (Jessica) of Manchester, KY and Marietta Brooks (Charles) of Williamsburg, KY; his grandchildren, Eric Messer, Josh Messer, Ashley Smith, Will Messer, Meagan Cox, Zachary Brooks and Jacob Brooks; and his sister Zelma Messer. He is also survived by 15 Great Grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the Croley Funeral Home (103 S 2nd St, Williamsburg, KY 40769). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 11:00 AM.
