He was predeceased by : his mother Ruth Middleton; and his brother Rick Farmer. He is survived by : his father Wendell Middleton; his children, Derek Middleton, Andrew Hill, Alan Hill and Ashley Hill; his grandchildren, Levi, Grayson and Rosalie; his siblings, Bill Middleton, Ramona Mills (Rick), Jennifer Allen (Chris), Wendell Middleton, Jr. (Joyce), Wayne Middleton and Debbie Chamberlain (Wayne); his sister-in-law Carolyn Farmer (Julie Hill); and his close friends, Franklin, Penny Stewart and Lora Southard. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 21st 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Anderson Laws and Jones Funeral Home (114 S 3rd St, Harlan, KY 40831). A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 21st 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, April 21st 2024 at the Will Follow Funeral Services.
