He was predeceased by: his parents, Lafayette Burnam Cornelius and Dorothy Pearl Hurley Cornelius; and his brothers, Ronnie Cornelius of Otisco, Brent Cornelius of Peoples and Fox of Williamsburg, Kentucky..
He is survived by: his children, Jama Vogt (Brian) of New Albany, Justin Cornelius (Melissa) of Brodhead and J. B. Cornelius of Williamsburg; his grandchildren, Andrew, Sam and Hanna Cornelius of Brodhead, Kentucky.; his siblings, Marcella Carpenter (Marvin), Marva Sue Baker of Peoples, Bianco Cornelius (Judy) of Doylestown, OH. and Burnam Lee Cornelius (Tia) of Doylestown, OH.; and his close friends, Darlene Monhollen, Karen Hill, Henry Hill, Brenda Harville, Elma, Lonnie Hamblin, Herman Bunch, Doc Anderson and J. P. Croley. He is also survived by numerous other family members, his church family.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Croley Funeral Home (103 S 2nd St, Williamsburg, KY 40769). A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
