He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Sawyers and Cleo Inman; his parents-in-law, Reverend Barton and Eliza Powers; his son Curtis Keith Moellmann; his granddaughter Whitney Sawyers; and his great grandchild Hardin Wayne Bundy.
He is survived by: his close friend Lois Sawyers of Corbin, KY.; his children, Cathy Hays (Kevin) of Williamsburg, KY, Samantha Melton (Jeremy) of Decatur, AL and Larry Wayne Sawyers II of Corbin, KY.; his grandchildren, Melissa Bundy (John), Alexis Maurer (Maikie), Tayiah Gray (Jaron), Alyssa Sawyers and Riley Melton; and his great grandchildren, River, Isaiah, Magnolia, Honey, Lennon Bundy, Nolan, Hermione Maurer and Kashton Gray.
