He was predeceased by: his wife Stella Steely; his parents, Brance Steely and Sarah Steely; his son Samuel Steely; and his siblings, Rexford Steely, Stanley Steely (Mary), Glenn Steely (Betty) and Bernice Cordell.
He is survived by: his son Paul David Steely; his daughter-in-law Brenda Steely; his grandchildren, Jimmy Bates, Beth Bates (Pam), Hunter Bates (Jennifer), Paige Cotter (Daniel) and Chase Steely (Amanda); his great grandchildren, Kristen Bowlin (Tommy), Brittany Morgan (Jeremiah), Bronson Bates (Jasmine), Griffin Bates, Manny Summers-Bates, Sophie Summers-Bates, Joey Jackson, Katie Jackson, Sammy Jackson, Hunter Bates II, Anna Bates, Miller Bates, Kycen Cotter, Skylar Cotter, Ace Cotter, Jarius Steely, Naomi Steely and David Steely; his great great grandchildren, Blake Bowlin, Beckham Bowlin, Brooks Bowlin, Miah Morgan, Hadleigh Morgan and Miley Bates; his siblings, Brance Steely (Mary) and Genevieve McGregor; and his nieces and nephews, Sarah Shelley (John), John Steely (Amy), Sharon Douglas (Danny), Roger McGregor (Melody), Jeffery G. Steely, Greg Buis, Curtis Buis, Rae Jacobs-Moore, Darlene Gay (Jimmy), Donna Hall (Randy), Karen Rice and Dee Dee Leal. He is also survived by several great nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
