We announce the death of Rose Lee Ely of Williamsburg, Kentucky, who passed away on September 3, 2026, at the age of 85. Rose will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Lewis Jenkins and Roxie Mae Stewart; her husband Elmer Ely; and her siblings, William Jenkins and Dorothy Brock.
She is survived by: her daughter Sandra Hoke (Danny) of Williamsburg; her stepdaughters, Doris Ely of Harlan and Angie Howard (Travis) of Corbin; her grandson Jason Grubb (Jessica) of Lexington, SC.; her close friends, Carson Grubb, Amy Smith and Carol Shelby; and her siblings, Reed Jenkins (Mossie), Della Bolton (Glen), Sue Duff (Bill), Gracie Goshen and Juanita David (Terry). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Ellison Funeral Home (512 Main St, Williamsburg, KY 40769). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
