He was predeceased by: his wife Effie Davis; his children, Kimberly Davis, Gregory Davis and Samuel Jeffrey Davis; his parents, Claude Davis and Sarah Davis (Jeffries); and his grandson-in-law Steve Mayer.
He is survived by: his brother Robert Davis of Campton, KY.; his granddaughters, Christine Mayer of Corbin, KY., Michelle Burton (Gregory) of Verona, KY and Danielle Halcomb (Tim) of Clinton Township, Michigan; his great grandchildren, Steve Mayer (Megan), Scott Mayer (Mary), Shelby Burton, Michael Burton (Grace), Savannah Mayer, Samuel Mayer, Adrianna Halcomb, Matthew Halcomb, Joshuah Halcomb and Emma Halcomb; his great great grandchildren, Eden Mayer, Maggie Mayer and Emmett Mayer; and his caregivers, Laurie Moses, Linda Lawson, Marsha Elliott, Karen Hollin and Sharon Logan.
