She was predeceased by: her spouse Johney Nathan Carpenter; her parents, Garret Hunter and Gretta Perkins Kendall; her daughter Danita Neuspickel; and her siblings, David, Monte, Butch, Ricky Hunter and Diania Harrington.

She is survived by: her children, Stephen Lee Theron Carpenter, Devon Kelly Carpenter, Leah Y. Herring (Carlos) and Heidi F. Villanueva (Felipe); and her siblings, Kenny Hunter, Judy Frye and Gretta Gomez. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren, fifty-two great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
