He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Loomis Brown; his siblings, Betty Jo McDaniel, Joan S. Carpenter, Donald E. Brown and Richard Froelicher; his grandson Jason Powell; and his daughter-in-law Susan Brown.
He is survived by: his children, David L. Brown, James "Jim" A. Brown, Sally Powell and Carolyn Cassidy (Jeffrey); and his sister Patricia Bricking. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Memorials are suggested to the Good Sheperd Lutheran Church or the Friends of Sherman Tavern.
