She was predeceased by: her father Alfie Bowen; her husband Charles Meece, Sr.; her sons, James 'Jim Meece and Guy 'Matthew Meece; her brothers, Bobby and Jack Bowen; and her grandson Dustin.

She is survived by: her children, Charles Meece, Jr. (Gayle), Gary 'Robin Meece, Justin 'Dan Meece, Robert 'Gene' Meece (Stacy) and Lena Skinner (James); and her siblings, Paul, Steve Bowen, Marilyn Smitzer and Cheryl Leach. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested to the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church.
