Nora leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Nora’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Nora will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elizabeth "Bess" Johnson and P. L. Johnson. She is survived by: her spouse C. Hoge Hockensmith, Jr.; and her children, Janette Reeves (Homer), Charles P. Hockensmith and Sarah Perry (Glenn). She is also survived by five grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Kerr Brothers Funeral Home (463 E Main St, Lexington, KY 40507). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
