She was predeceased by : her parents, Joseph Thelander and Selma Pierson Thelander; her husband John; her son Forrest; her grandson Lucas Bumgardner; and her brothers, Virgil, Arnold, Leland, Ralph and Joseph.

She is survived by : her children, Alicia Abbott (Dennis) of Wilmore, Kentucky, Timothy (Maria) of Vienna, Virginia and Jonathan (Naomi) of Johnson City, Tennessee.; her grandchildren, Ethan Bumgardner, Caleb, Sarah, Ruth, Grace, Esther, David and Joshua Langford; and her great grandchildren, Landon and Rayland Bumgardner.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made to the Salvation Army or The Gideons International.
