She was predeceased by: her parents, William Charles Elam and Beatrice Arnett Elam; her nephew Jonathan Elam; and her sister-in-law Kaye Elam. She is survived by: her husband James R. Barker; her son Brandon E. Barker (Lin) of Ithaca, NY; her stepsons, Richard D. Barker (Nancy) of Winchester, KY and James O. Barker (Stephanie) of Morehead, KY; her grandchildren, Jordan Barker (Lauren) of Independence, KY, Zachary Barker (Ashley) of Union, KY, Bailee Stromquist (Jeff) of Union, KY, Alec Barker of Morehead, KY, Lindon and Hayden Barker of Ithaca, NY; her great grandchildren, Brantley, Kynlee, Brooks, Gracie, Karson, Lillie and Grayson; and her siblings, Wilma Jones (Ewell) of Salt Lick, KY, Joyce Enoch (David) of Mt Sterling, KY and Frank Elam of Salt Lick, KY. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to organizations supporting Alzheimerʼs research or animal welfare in Carolʼs memory.
