She was predeceased by: her parents, John Blaine and Greta Summie Melton; her husband Floyd R. Bennett; her daughter Susan Bennett; and her son-in-law Leonard Belanger.
She is survived by: her children, Richard Bennett, Michael Bennett (Dawna) and Jan Belanger. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Glen Alpine Methodist Church (410 Linville St, Morganton, NC 28655).
