We announce the death of Emma Sue Stone (Winchester, Kentucky), who passed away on August 31, 2026, at the age of 84. Emma will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her husband Donald Glenn Stone; her parents, Oliver Burgher and Lillie Burgher of Clark County; her sisters, Serena Brown (Garrett) and Ida Swift (Robert); and her nephew Robert M. Swift (Marty).
She is survived by: her children, Donna S. Meibers (David J.) of Winchester and David Glenn Stone of New Albany, IN; and her grandchildren, Jessica M. Fatkin (Austin) of Fairmont, WV and Donald Joseph Meibers (Mia) of Newark, OH. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Leon Pace Memorial Chapel (219 W Lexington Ave, Winchester, KY 40391). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
