He is survived by: his wife Darlene Smith Whitton; his children, Jenn Whitton of Winchester and Jeffrey Whitton (Mia) of Elizabethtown, Kentucky.; his grandson Lincoln David Whitton of Elizabethtown, Kentucky.; his brother Josh; his sister-in-law Tami Adkins; his nephew Christopher Adkins (Ashley); and his close friends, Donnie, Edie Shields, Barry, Kathy Mayfield, Renee Rhodes, Larry Stamper, Kim, Connie McCrary, Kevin, Gayle Baker Knepper, Jessie, Kenny Randolph, Bo Scott and Lisa Weaver. He is also survived by Many cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, Whitton has requested that donations be made to his grandson's school.
