He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert McKinney and Susie Griffin McKinney; his son John McKinney; and his siblings, Hubert McKinney, Jr., Wayne, Wallace McKinney, Ruby Estes, Wanda Arvin, Lucille Goe and Gertrude McQueen.
He is survived by: his children, Melissa Long and Jarvis McKinney; and his grandchildren, Aaron Burns, Heather Halsey and Joey Sparks. He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Newnam Funeral Home Chapel (108 Center St, Beattyville, KY 41311). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
