Though Lucy Nelson may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Nelson and Inis Woosley Nelson; and her brother John Nelson. She is survived by: her son Gary Eugene Stanfield, Jr. (Shelley) of Fayetteville, Pennsylvania; her grandchildren, Joshua Gary Stanfield and Jordan Renee Stanfield of Fayetteville; and her siblings, Pat Taulbee of Winchester, Kentucky, Linda Ballard (Harold) of Winchester, Kentucky, Emma Case (Calvin) of Winchester, Kentucky, Darrell Nelson and Jackie Nelson of Winchester. She is also survived by several extended family members and dear friends.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Clarmont Memorial Gardens (3000 Mt Sterling Rd, Winchester, KY 40391).
