With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Myrtle Jackson (Winchester, Kentucky), who passed away on July 18, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her former husband Dr. Broadus Jackson; her daughter Angela Jackson; and her siblings, Gwiniver Portor, Mervin "Eugene" Haggins (late Anna) and Daniel Haggins.
She is survived by: her husband Professor; her daughter Bonny Jackson Washington; her grandchildren, Bryant Taylor Carter of Winchester Kentucky, Joshua John Cunningham, Tara Maria Hannigan (Christopher), Maimi, Floridia and Tameera Shanice Cunningham of Dallas; her great grandchildren, Elijah Morton Carter and Hendrix Carter of Winchester, Kentucky.; her sisters, Zetta Olinger (late DY Olinger) of Hazard, Brenda Davis (Charles) of Dumfries and Virgina; her aunts, Imogene Herald (late Richard) of Tampa and Charlene Hopewell (late George) of Winchester, Kentucky.; and also Ethel Haggins of Winchester. She is also survived by nephews, great nephews, nieces, great nieces, cousins and other family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Rolan G. Taylor Funeral Home (289 S Main St, Winchester, KY 40391). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 11:30 AM and at 1:00 PM at the same location.
