He was predeceased by: his parents, Owen Sams and Lela Sams; his former wife Wanda Faye Sams; his grandson Jason Sams; and his daughter-in-law Janice Sams.
He is survived by: his wife Shirlene Sams; his sons, Owen Sams, David Sams and Keith Sams (Joan); and his granddaughters, Alison Jones (Chris), Megan Sams (Brandon Proffitt), Heather Davis (Dusty), Sarah Sams and Sophie Sams. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Scobee Funeral Home (219 W Lexington Ave, Winchester, KY 40391). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
