With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Rexford Johnson of Winchester, Kentucky, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe D. Johnson and Linda Johnson Lowe. He is survived by: his wife Helen Elaine Thomas Johnson; his sister Carolyn Brown (Paul Brown) of Morehead, KY.; his daughters, Saundra Lynn Johnson of Winchester, KY and Victoria Dawna Lydon (James Peter Lydon) of Lexington, KY.; his grandchildren, Elaine Marie Granados (Edwin Granados, Jr.), William Joseph Walker (Breanna Kristine Walker), Matthew Alexander Walker (Anika Swinford) and David Rexford Johnson; and his great grandchildren, Ella Cristina Granados, Edwin Romeo Granados III, Demelza Rose Walker, Thane Andrew Walker and Locke Avery Walker. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Northcutt & Son Home For Funerals, Inc. (400 Fraley Dr, Morehead, KY 40351). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 7:00 PM and on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM. A burial will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at the Ditney Cemetery (Cr-1154, Kentucky 40351).
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations in memory of Rexford Johnson to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion, or the Masonic Lodge.
