He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis C. Howell and Zella Mae Hatton; his grandparents, Clell and Edie Hatton; and his son-in-law Troy (Frances "Frankie" Hatton).
He is survived by: his children, Beverly Hatton Martin, Bill Hatton (Sherie), Roy Hatton Jr. (Marie) and Susie Williamson (Brian); and his grandson Michael Shelby. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
