He was predeceased by: his mother Sherry Merritt; and his nephew Dustin Powell. He is survived by: his father Randall Embs; his children, Skyler Embs (Zoie Thomas) and Braelyn Cole Embs; his grandsons, Parker and Cole Embs; his siblings, Jennifer Simpkins (Kevin), Brandon Merritt (Ashleigh), Ryan Embs (Blainey) and Cory Embs (Mikaela); his siblings' children, Gavin Simpkins, Isaac Embs, Isaah Embs, Aiden Merritt, Rylan Embs, Alexis Simpkins, Ella Embs and Amelia Merritt; his stepfather William "Bean" Merritt; and his wife Whitney Hatton Embs.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Braelyn Embs Scholarship Fund at any PNC Bank location.
