She was predeceased by : her parents, Howard Ellegood and Mary Eva Ellegood (Willett); her children, Angela Dawn Depato and James Alan Cole; and her brothers, Rudolph Ellegood and Mike Ellegood.

She is survived by : her husband John R. Hicks; her son Stephen Reid Hicks of Murphy, NC; and her siblings, Thomas Ellegood of Mayfield, KY, Rose Riggs, Jeanette Hamilton of Mayfield, KY, Sharon Vaughn of Mayfield, KY, David Ellegood of Benton, KY and Ken Ellegood of Wingo, KY. She is also survived by six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Per the Family's request, anyone attending the visitation or memorial service are asked to wear a mask due to the on going Covid-19 pandemic.
